Beaujolais-Villages Gamay

2019; Wow, what a wine! So consistent with 2018 notes, but more expressive! Decanted 90m.

Nose has cut strawberry, ripe raspberry, dry chalk, baking spice and light alcohol. Palate has ripe cherry, fresh raspberry, dried black cherry and dried cranberry sprinkled with allspice.

First post-covid dinner with a dear buddy; No notes this evening.

Very light and delicious! Would be great with a variety of food.

Strawberry, wet earth, bright and fresh ⚡️

So good. Initial smell took me to a gravel flower garden just after a brief rain. Also a bit of strawberry pie. Palate is just lovely with tons of cherry, pomegranate, strawberry, and more flowers and rock. Is this the most complex wine in the world, no, is it one of the most drinkable and enjoyable, yes.

Red fruit, juicy Beaujolais. Foillard thru and thru

Prototypical Beaujolais. Red berry, pom on the nose. Sweet tart (strawberry, cranberry) notes. Right acidity. Wish I’d had patience to chill. Had with chicken pot pie.
