Cornas Syrah
Slightly lighter in body than I was expecting, red fruited, plush with good acidity

Jan 7th, 2019Drank at Bottles in Paris with Sarah and Brice Garrett from Serrano Wines in Paso Robles.
Dark ruby red. Dark nose with some floral notes, dark berries, and a little savory. Medium plus (6.5/10) and full bodied. Some herbs on the palate, savory, leather and dark raspberries. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2027. (91+)

Dark red fruit, mushroom and wet forest. A delicious Syrah from Northern Rhone.

Oct 15th, 2016Burgundy meets Cornas, missing some of that ferral, peppery, campfire ash I prefer, but what it lacked made up for in elegance, fruit and polished structure.
