Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Cleaner than 2017. Higher acid as well. Day 2, amazing!

Dark nose, violets, plums, the smokey notes of Syrah. Fine acidity, drunk too young

I’ve never had a bad bottle of Graillot In 20+ samples. slightly more metallic and lean than the Balthazar Crozes.

Much too young and better the second day but the bacon, currant and dark fruit and pepper all there. Needs a few years of sleep.

100% Syrah, Medium Ruby with aromas of dark fruits and herb pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and raspberry with some vegetal spice. Lively acidity with medium tannins, good length ending with a fruit and mineral character. Drinking well.

Bloody, grilled meat. Smoked hickory, blackberry, pine. Mossy, forest floor, salty. Very good.

Punched above its weight

Well balanced and delicious

Medium bodied and savoury, really lovely
