First ever Mt. Etna Carricante produced in California. Citrus, herbs, saline, robust full body and finish.

Green bell pepper on the nose. Lemon and salt palette. Tons going on, feels to me like this needs some time to mellow out

Anise and lemon aroma that reminds me so much of good n plenty candy. More buttery in body and some hints of vanilla. Drying finish that reminds me of citrus oil. Surprisingly I like the California more than the Italian version

Interesting comparison to Aeris cali Carricante. Mid yellow and clear. Nose though shy is dominated by stone and mineral notes. Lemon and almond on the palate which is really dominated by the stone and mineral. Smoky notes confirm the volcanic origin. Both versions of this wine deserve your consideration.
