Duas Quintas Douro Red Blend

Muddled scents… little stands out. Some dark fruits, spices, leather. Drinks dense and dark, medium bodied but thick tannins. Doesn’t taste like a lot? Lower end stuff that’s passable if you’re on a budget and just really want some wine. Next time, I’ll go for the beer.

Deep purple. Deeeeeeeep.

Dark fruit. Oak. Subtle smokiness.

Very pleasant Douro blend. Smooth with notes of vanilla and red fruit.

Typical Portugal tapas table wine. Great for salty cured meats. Cuts the edge and benefits in the pairing mutually.

This is my first soirée into Portuguese wines. This one is dry, smooth with rich flavors. I would certainly purchase again.

Had this with a pizza at the gourmet food section at mureiras mall in Lisbon. Great flavours and good acidity.

2015 vintage. Brambly dark fruit flavors, medium+ tannins, good concentration. Black grapes, blackberry coulis, black tea, black cherry, graphite, dried rose petals.

Dry and clean. Minerality and solid acidity. Not a lot of depth

Great seafood wine! Enjoyed this one with grilled flounder with olive oil and lemon. The simpler the better.

(**) for Port fans, it's meeting an old friend who's dressed for business. Full of familiar plummy roundness in a slightly more restrained presentation.
