Tonight I am going back to one of my favorite areas for Pinot Noir, the Willamette Valley. This is the first time trying the Adelsheim Winery though I have heard great things about them. On the nose we get strong fruit forward aromas of strawberry, cherry, raspberry and a moist morning dew soil. The red fruit continues through to the palate. The strawberry & raspberry continue though a bit on the light side. There is a smooth mouth feel with a nice acidity and minerality notes. The acidity helps in the length of this Pinot which I truly like.
