Viking Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Right in the kisser with this one! Packed a perfect punch of all of the Batman onomatopoeia you could hope for in a bold, bottled beauty!

Black cherry, black currant, good tannin level, more paso polish. Like the C/F level

Cocoa nibs and suede-

a bit of menthol a bit of fruit #cabernetsauvignon #pasorobles simple but well done

Bold but still fruity with blackberry, oak, pepper, and a touch of bay leaf. Smooth but has good structure and paired very nicely with a marinated flank steak.

Bold, rich and flavorful.

Bold oak and smooth blueberry and hazelnut. Rich and flavorful.

2018 opened Xmas Eve 2024. This wine has some weaknesses, but it’s still a pleasant tipple. Heavy tobacco on the nose. Sour cherries on the front. Medium light tannic structure. Cabernet on top of a calcaire backbone gives this wine a softer texture on the mid palate — but it doesn’t fully override the initial sour fruit. The long mineral finish that explodes after swallowing is what makes this wine shine. If you’ve got the 2018, drink it now. I don’t think it will develop any further.

Blueberry, cocoa, and cherry with oak. Deep and rich.
