Mendoza Malbec
Great Value from a 6 region blend, deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, spice, herbal and floral notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and blackberry with licorice, pepper, floral and oak. Fine soft tannins, lively acidity, medium(+) finish ending with fruit, subtle oak and savory spice. Nice!! A Fav!

Jun 26th, 2021Stock photo, but shared with Argentinian friends over Asado- an Argentine BBQ- complete with a newly bought Argentine style grill. I hadn’t had this for years, & was surprised at the balance, restrained oak, &full, juicy mid palate. Drank after a Vaqueras red & matched the smokiness of the meat.

May 13th, 2021Dark purple in color with a purple rim.
Great nose of blackberries, black currants, vegetables, earth, bell pepper, wood, light vanilla, leather, red candy, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, vanilla, wood, vegetables, earth, celery, bell pepper, beef jerky peppercorn, spices, herbs and pencil lead.
Medium finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice Malbec from Mendoza. Showing nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Could use 3 to 5 years in the bottle to mature. Still very earthy with lots of green notes.
Needs 2 hours to open up properly, which I did not have unfortunately, but it is still enjoyable by itself. A good food wine to accompany a big piece of steak. 100% Malbec grapes.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
$20.

Dec 4th, 2017Rich, slightly sweet and roundly fruity. Has a lot of dark plum skins and some nice buttery notes. Hints of nutmeg and a little earth. Nice to sip by itself, but would be great with spicy food.

5 people found it helpfulOct 11th, 2014Both bright and dark at the same time. High mineral content with dark fruit (plum skin and purple berries), tannins, medium bodied with oak tannin. Vanilla, cola, oak, and plum on the finish. Fantastic quality, a reason to love Argentine Malbec. #worldmalbecday
