A great wine from an epic vintage. Absolutely delicious and surprisingly approachable. A fabulous showing.

Unlike Abreu's other reds this is ready to drink now with an hour or so decant. Formidable fruit yet lighter on mid palate than his other wines this is truly a gorgeous 2013 that should be enjoyed now. This shows polished notes of black cherry, cedar and mocha. Finish has length and substance despite a soft approachable mid palate

As a first exposure to an Abreu vineyards wine we were all impressed! The tannins were structure, but the 30m decant left them young and tight although not at all unpleasant. Hints of blueberries complemented the rich dark fruit and some dark chocolate on the back palette. I will revisit this wine after several more years of cellar aging.

Merry Christmas! Should probably have waited a couple more years but hey, it was still great and went well with beef burgundy. Could’ve used time to breathe but I’ve never been patient on this particular holiday and I’ve accepted this. 🎄 🍷 cheers!

Nice fruit, dry herbs, good oak... some press wine characters, great mouthfeel.

Needs an hour to open. Raspberry, blackberry, currant and honey churned together on the front end with a soft round tannic finish. An hour of air is good - two hours is better.
