Selección Especial Estate Grown Sardon de Duero Tempranillo Blend

Blend of 64% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah, 6% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby red color with aromas of red and black fruit and toasty spice, from a warmer year. The palate shows plum and blackberry flavors with smoke, cacao and spice. Vivid acidity, firm ripe tannins, integrated lending to a medium+ finish ending with some earthy notes.

This wine has lots to offer, but with limited push for greatness. It just needs more energy. Otherwise, no complaints. Good oak integration.

Tasted on Saturday, July 5th, 2025: A fleeting impression—like desert sand swept away by the wind, weighty yet elusive.

Very pleasant with nice juicy fruitiness on the palate. And acidic on the finish. Albeit a long finish

First words - wow. Dark berries, medium/full body. Spicy and a tiny bit earthy.

Very classic Rioja style Tempranillo enveloped inside the tannins and dark fruit from Cab Sauv and Syrah. Had the 24 hours later without any proper storage, tannins were more prominent.

A little molasses and dark fruit (maybe a hint of tobacco?) on the front of the palette. Oak on the finish. Really, really spectacular.
