Tasty waxy white. Bruised yellow pear, smoked hay, sunflower. Such a unique blend.

Lots of honeysuckle. Grapefruit, strawberry. Apricot chutney. Hint of baked vanilla. A little hot. Interesting, charming. Medium plus body. (Blend is: chenin blanc, rousanne, Grenache blanc, verdelho, viognier, Grenache Gris, Grenache, Clairette Blanche)

Great stuff! Hard to put in a box. Fresh and bruised apple, white florals, some Riesling-like petrol and minerality. Palate is where it shines: very viscous, just ripe white peach, bitter almond and a long phenolic finish with balanced acidity. Great and unique effort

This Kalmoesfontein White Blend from A.A. Badenhorst was recommended by Tony as a “weird and funky” pairing for Field and Main’s meal of the day! Beautiful golden coloring, honey on the nose that it keeps on he palate while remaining dry. Notes of mint, other herbs, slate and even a little licorice! Definitely weird, interesting, and makes me want to keep tasting - which I guess is the point.
