The 2020 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard is airy, gracious and ethereal. Sweet dried cherry fruit, tobacco, leather, spice and rosewater give the 2020 its eccentric feel. The aromatics are especially vibrant owing to healthy amount of whole clusters. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2022)

Finding a good bit more tannin and backbone in this latest edition.

This wine exudes femininity and complexity. Layers of thought-provoking aromas and flavors. Light and agile but strong. A revelation. Beautiful.

The first words to be spoken after a quaf and a soif: I love you. Harmonious and heartfelt, truly.

This has really settled into a groove over time and was in a great place.

Cool wine, this, displaying the whole gamut of sweet red fruit I find so enticing in well-made, young grenache. Strawberry jam, ripe ripe bing cherry, orange peel, rose water, and bubblegum. Fruit is just this side of cloying. Voluptuous texture but a surprising amount of tannic backbone keeps it in check. Whereas so much 'new california' wine is defined by what it isn't - overoaked, super-ripe - this seems like one of the few that's defined by what it is: an honest and full expression of great fruit, carefully handled.

This is a wine of excellent price-to-quality ratio. Light ruby in color; nose of ripe raspberry, strawberry, and plum; fresh and youthful taste with salty minerals, liquorice, pepper, thyme, and other green spices. Medium-high alcohol, smooth tannins. Great!

Drinks like Rayas. Pale garnet, medium+ viscosity and intensity. Sun kisses red fruit, raspberry, red cherry, tart and dried at the same time, white pepper, volatile acidity, red flowers, rubber hose, herbs of Provence, garrique, and oolong on the nose. Used oak, medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ alcohol, finishes on VA and candied strawberry. Clean expression of Grenache on sandy soils.

Translucent, elegant Grenache. Maybe lacks depth, but this is really easy to drink.
