Unfiltered Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

Deep rich fruit with a good balance. Small production. Lovey stuff!

Nice food wine - a little candied without it.

IMO, one of their weaker vintages of the last 15 years and yet still undeniably well made.

Back on form for this producer, who wandered in the valley of over extraction for a couple vintages. Great, brambly Zin, though not for the oak averse. It is really nice oak, though.

Pours currant in color. ON THE NOSE: raspberry and cinnamon spice. ON THE PALATE: no pepper in this Zin. Raspberry clove and nutmeg. Medium body with medium finish.

Pure. Brambles. Velvet-like texture. Tannins still grippy.

Always special. Big jammy. Raisins. Fig.

Finally a Rafanelli on its home turf…..didn’t quite measure up to some other vintages? served with steak sandwiches poolside

Quarantine. Pizza and zin. A. Raf never disappoints.
