I took a gamble on an otherwise limited wine list at a pizza chain restaurant. 🎲 rolled 7 with this #montereycounty #chardonnay. Nothing profound on the aromatics, lemon, stone fruit, touch of butterscotch. Refreshing acidity on the palate entry, nice texture and spice on the finish from temperate use of new oak. We ordered a second bottle. With the acidity it paired nicely with sausage and pepperoni pizza as well as prosciutto and mushroom.
