The Uprising Shiraz Blend
Semi sweet, very, I mean very, jammy. More smoke than I expected.
Dark crimson color, hot at 15% abv.
Paired with beef stew, but begs to be paired with any tomato base Italian dish.
This blend was ok , but I've had had others that suit my taste better.

First foray into bourbon barrel wines. Definitely get that vibe, though I also just had a glass of bourbon so maybe... Jammy and dark muddled fruit on the nose. Hot and palate pounding. Chocolate and vanilla blend. Medium to big, not that tannic.

Feb 2nd, 2019Inky in color with a wide purplish rim.
Fruity nose (but not strong) with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, cloves, spices, chocolates, black pepper, coffee, tobacco, spice box, earth, light vegetables and pencil lead.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long long legs.
Dry to off dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, cola, licorice, cloves, tobacco, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Medium-plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Australian red blend is drinking very nicely now. Rich, jammy and very fruity. Almost balanced, with mild complexity and a great mouthfeel. Showing lots of chocolate, smoke and coffee notes. It has high alcohol, but it's not very noticeable. Tastes more like a California Cabernet.
I decanted it for an hour, but that didn't do any change. Good by itself as a sipping wine by the porch or fireplace. Another good everyday wine with a cool label.
I enjoyed it with a cheese plate and crackers.
Aged for 30 days in Rum barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.
$12.

Robust, syrupy fruit dominating the palate before the rum barrels come in on the finish. Boozy brown sugar, molasses, viscous vanilla. I generally like all 19 crimes and this is no exceptions. Good stuff.

Couldn’t find my Bitch (Grenache Wine), so I settled on new Valentine!! This was in the budget and I love a little edge. This blend is a jammy jam w/ the Shiraz in the forefront! Real juicy. Cabernet gives some palatable tannins. And the Grenache is hella spicy. 15% ABV w/ a $8.99 price tag. Perfect date. I’ll be keeping this in rotation. Oh...did I mention it was aged 30 days in rum barrels? 💅🏾
