Such a great value, $20 and loaded with character and substance.
Crystalline gold and citrus fruits with white floral highlights. Elegance and weight perfectly combine to broaden this wine's food pairing and consumer appeal. If you "like white wine" or wine like me you HAVE to try this.

Bird is the word! Or is it Bierzo?
Either way this is like a hypothetical mash-up of Burgundy and Chinon if your not familiar with the great Mencia from this region. The nose was reduced at first, but after 1 hour it started to relent. On the palate however we had a completely different story. Red berry fruits, strawberry in particular, with hints of peppery forest floor, cinnamon and sandalwood on the palate. The finish is firm, but with fine tannin and fresh acids.
Give it a few more years, but this is an impressive wine from a great producer in an up and coming region.
