Caymus Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

#FAIL tastes like Robitussin cough syrup. Sugar syrup bomb!! I feel like I can smell the fermentation process still happening in the bottle.

First thing
@Larissa M said was “I want my money back!”

Truly disappointed in Caymus lately...

Such a shame. Such a talent-filled enterprise. I used to love this stuff. Post 2010, some bad sh%t occurred...

Château Branaire (Duluc-Ducru)

St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

Now is the time to drink. Gravelly, cedar, prune, cassis. Beautiful balance but will not last much longer. — 10 years ago

Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery

15 Years Old Family Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Hard to go wrong and to enjoy this with this many friends bumped up the rating. Incredibly generous by @Jason Cutrer to bring a bottle of this and the 12. Who does that?!?! Super special. I’m putting this above the 12 and the 23 we had later in the night. Atmosphere had a lot to do with it. And to the attempted photo bomber Sherry - #fail!!!! — 7 years ago

#wine #fail VA too much to enjoy. Chalking this one up to poor cellarage. Fewer and fewer of these late 40s Rbdx vintages are holding on. — 10 years ago

J.L. Quinson (Jean-Louis Quinson)

Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Rosé Blend 2014

Refreshing, but past its prime. Still enjoyable but can't tell it's lacking acid and lost its edge. Thought had bought last summer but must've bought it summer before and got lost in the shuffle. #fail — 7 years ago

Le Fiacre du Pape Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2012

$19.95 seems a bit expensive for this. When first opened was so tight it was a bit offensive (my friend asked "what is that horrible flavor). I decanted it and it lost whatever that was, but now just drinks kinda boringly. Château-funk on the nose overpowers anything else. I get a bit of raspberry tart and leather, but there is that funk again. I can see structure attempting to emerge, but #fail — 8 years ago

#wine #fail Premature oxidation. Source ex-cellars LHB. Drinkable, but certainly not a best example of a great wine. — 10 years ago
