I tried the 2009 Pearce Maxwell's Cabernet tonight. This Cabernet blend has a nice bouquet of red fruits, tobacco leaf and earth. It is a deep dark velvety pleasure to drink. There are hints or BlackBerry, Oak and a touch of Cassas that hangs around like a warm memory. The tannins show themselves nicely in a lovely lingering finish. We drank this as a stand alone drink, but it would lovely with food. #coombsville #napa #ajpearce — 10 years ago
