Aerated on the way into decanter, but only been open about an hour, will update later after open longer.
Pronounced graphite, blackberry, cassis, silky baby powder tannins, soft finish, but alcohol heat comes with it. Not 100, sorry RP, it doesn't make me cry tears of joy. However, I have confidence this big, domestic red will assist the Caps once again tonight! #rockthered #caps #letsgocaps
Follow up: apparently it hasn't helped, ha! Get some dust and licorice now, but also an odd very green chemically pyrazine aroma and taste now too. Not green pepper. Odd green note. Makes me think of a bottle of 02 (i think) a bunch of us had blind a while ago...no one even picked it as cab. This now reminds me of that bottle @Joe Tucker rating reflects that — 9 years ago
Blackberry, blueberry, subtle spice and herbal notes, definitely pick up the oak. Goes well with homemade pizza and #caps #rockthered
Follow up: really evolved with 2 days open, much smoother — 9 years ago
A little domestic to help the boys along. Very good. Rich, smooth. Cherry, black tea, interestingly quite a lot of coconut, vanilla, kind of creamy...mild earth, but it's definitely not Burgundy. #rockthered #letsgocaps #caps #capspens — 9 years ago
Light, funky, not very complex, but enjoyable with Pho and a Caps game #rockthered #caps — 9 years ago

Reaching into the wayback machine of my palate preferences to see if I can motivate the Caps to not suck in the playoffs with some Big F*©king Red Wine. And yeah, this wine just isn't my bag anymore, baby. But I'll take one for the team and choke it down 🤣😂
Ok, I'm being dramatic, it's not terrible, just not what I'm used to drinking anymore.
Strong blackberry, graphite, anise, oak, touch of saline, mint, not too tannic on the palate actually. Fairly smooth.
