Ca'Marcanda Promis Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2021

Beautiful Super Tuscan. Dark, big, soft - massive dark cherries — a year ago

Château Rauzan-Ségla

Margaux Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

A little bit between worlds at this point. Still great primary fruit, boysenberry, black currant, but also with secondary cedar and tobacco. Surprisingly fresh. I’d like to see this again in 2033. — a year ago

My Favorite Neighbor

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Never fails. Think cherry, spice; just always solid. Great new neighbor gift lol — a year ago

Cloudy Bay

Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Delicious. Can’t remember if I’ve reviewed this before, if so it would have been 6+ years ago. The finesse of a top notch Sancerre, richness of a new world sauvignon blanc, and the element of some new oak just wraps it up so nicely. — a year ago

Moët & Chandon

Dom Perignon P2 2004

Celebrated America's birthday in style. Had with takeout lunch of Chinese BBQ (roast pig and duck) and green veggies. Shared with my mom and husband. — a year ago

Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona

Riserva Santa Caterina d'Oro Vigna di Pianrosso Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2016

Checked in early with the 2016 (in 2023). Started off very tight but over the course of 3 hours, opened beautifully on the nose and incredible depth. Excited for more of this — a year ago

Detert Family Vineyards

Oakville Cabernet Franc 2019

We couldn’t finish this wine on the first night so given it’s age, we put the cork back and enjoyed it again on night two. It may have even been better the second night. Clearly this needs a good decanting to let this wind sing from the glass. Dark, rich color, complex nuances. — a year ago

L'Erta di Radda

Chianti Classico 2019

A nice amount of complexity and structure for an annata. Nose shows macerated cherry, moist gravel, spice, rich leather. In the mouth it’s got very good flavor intensity, with focused and piercing fruit and savory elements, all supported by some nice tannins and good acids. A vigorous specimen. — a year ago
