This is a great Bordeaux blend from California. Well balanced and fruit forward with cedar, chocolates and coffee notes.
Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up and shows some tannins (30 minutes).
Still young and will benefit from a year or two of bottle time.
Good by itself or with food. A great sipping wine.
Delicious and yummy. I love these Bordeaux blends.
A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 13% Malbec, 9% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. 73% Napa Valley 27% Sonoma County.

Give it lots of air and it rewards. Such an intriguing wine. First time I had it, all I could see was tamarind, soy sauce, olive, meat. Decanted it big time this time round and you can add some deep seated black cherries to that. And oh, super inky! Finish was rather short though. Acidity was also super weird. Straight out of the bottle, the aglianico acid was apparent and then it disappeared (unbalanced almost, old almost). All in all, a pretty rewarding drink. — 8 years ago

Big, but focused and great acid. Lots of dark fruit. — 8 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Founded by Donn and Molly Chappelet in 1967 on renowned Pritchard Hill. A blend of 79% Cab Sauv, 12% Petit Verdot & 9% Malbec. Deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of dark berry fruits, cedar, cacao and sweet herbs. On the palate rich flavors of blackberry and currants with sweet oak and herbs with a great mouthfeel. Soft fine tannins, long ending with fruit and sweet oak. Will improve but great now! — 4 years ago
