A little too modern and polished for my tastes. I feel like this has changed from the same wine 10-15 years before. Totally get that it’s a field blend, but it used to have more “bramble”. Totally delicious and drinkable, but has that dark fruit smoothness I associate more with other California wineries. Better on day 2. Maybe it just needs more bottle time…

Serve-able and just OK. Cherry (very) driven. And not much more. Seems too light despite 14.1%. Lacks stuffing.
