IDDA Etna Rosso Nerello Blend

Mostly Nerello Mascalese with a splash of Nerello Cappuccio, Ruby red color with aromas of ripe berry fruits, spice and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with herbs, caramel and hints of citrus rind. Medium+ finish, fine tannins ending with fruit, spice and sweet nutty earthy notes. Nice.

Third vintage Nerello from the southside of Etna, a joint venture between Gaja and Graci. A bit restricted in the nose. Fruitdriven, very elegant and silky. Soft tannins. Adored it big time!

Third bottle in same amount of years. Peaking! What a great wine. Nerello at it’s best!

Light bodied and acidic. Bit of a bite. Some good red fruits coming through. Nice aperitif.

Restricted on the nose but made it up big time in taste. Very elegant with deeper layers for which all my senses were needed. Good Nerello wine!

Delicate red.great finesse. Like a Beaune Pinot. Almalfi Las Vegas

Really like this. Fresh but earthy, spicy, soft noticeable but integrated structure. Reminiscent of a good burgundy in weight and overall presence.

Bubble gum. Flowers.
