Oaky and buttery, quaffable, just not dry and crisp enough for me.

Got a couple of these for.free a couple of years ago. They were sitting in the cellar, since I was too scared to try them based on the name. Needed a cooking wine today, and it seemed the perfect opportunity. On the nose: tangerine, peach, loads of sweet cream...spot-on advertising: this is very ripe and rich. On the palate: weighty without good acid to cut through, so this almost tastes stodgy...the acidity picks up a bit and gives this a bit of a burn. More tangerine and a touch of oaky bitterness. Not nearly as bad as I thought it waa going to be...not what I enjoy drinking, but with a little bit of bottle age this would probably do ok with some richer seafood.

Initial taste had butter only on finish well after swallowing...subswquent sips less intense but still there. Wouldn't describe as buttery...more like movie theater butter popcorn taste at the very end

Crisp, fruity, and refreshing. Movie theater butter mouth coating finish.

Creamy, oaky, and buttery! Definitely an affordable Chard pick and I'll buy again for sure. Yellow apple flavors and a bit of honeysuckle. Very good!

Buttery. Something off. Tried it with a sharp white cheddar and it was much more enjoyable.
