2016. Hoisin, plum and tar nose with maple flower and sticky nettle notes. Rye bread and caraway. Grippy graphite entry of sour cherry, black cherry skins and tobacco. Firm tannins and smoke blow it out.

Very structured and tight. A touch of heat on the nose and finish. Traditional style. This will need time.

Open cork, close it back, and drink 3 days later. Don’t waste a sip before. Not a joke.

Happy to be out of the routine. In Isle of Palms SC. This wine is without question a baby and I feel a bit ashamed to end its slumber. Rosey with tall tannins. Excellent but better later.
