Winemaker's Cuvée Alexander Valley Red Blend

Drinking well. 14.95% abv (lol). Mainly Cab.

Dark fruits, vanilla/oak spice, cherry, dried leaves, dusty tannins, medium-full bodied, slight RS and a candied finish.

Deep Ruby with complex aromas of dark fruit aromas and subtle spices. On the palate ripe blackberry and cherry flavors with notes of espresso, cacao and vanilla. Elegant soft tannins with toasty oak and balanced acidity drinking well now on a long finish ending with fruit and oaky character.

Very nice. Opened well over time and showed nice dark and red berry flavors with a savory finish

Very nice wine, predominantly cab. Decanted over several hours and there was a great evolution of flavor.

Typicity: High

Flavors of chocolate, mint, charred wood, blackberry jam, clove, cinnamon, and leather. Delicious wine that could stand a few more years of aging to soften the considerable tannin and texture. But definitely drinkable now, it evolves in the glass a great deal! I would definitely buy again.

Back in CA and now spending a long weekend with friends in the desert. They brought this wine to share. Did side by side with 2016 Oakville Ranch CS. Enjoyed both.
