Surprised by the generosity, drinking quite well for how young it is. Open-knit, true to place, moderately framed with some true charm to it. Really enjoyed over a few days. Deep red fruit, almost succulent, soaked cherries and lots of licorice root, cedar, cinnamon, flowers and tar. There’s a undertone of earth. From a tannin perspective these appear ripe, with moderate intensity relatively speaking.

Spice, fresh blackberry, and floral notes on the nose. Vanilla, almond, cooked dark cherry, tobacco, cocoa, cinnamon, black tea, savory mushrooms, and jammy black and red fruit on the palate. The finish provides lingering oak, cocoa, and tobacco notes with long acid. High tannins, high acid, and high alcohol. Bring on the lasagna.
