Since the Etna is active again this bottle seemed appropriate to me. Liked the 2 previous bottles big time but couldn’t get my finger on this one. It lacked the depth which was present before

Nerello Mascalese, light in colour, very elegant. In a very good spot right now. Liked it a lot, especially compared to previous bottles. Where the Monte Serra is like hip hop dancing, this Rovittello is more like classical ballet 😁

Superb wine! Super inviting nose, wonderfull mouth taste, maybe missing some extra mid character. Nevertheless, so good with our bbq pork. Etna rocks 🤘

Like a volcanic barbera. These can be tannic but five years of bottle age has smoothed the edges somewhat. Not that giving of the bat but evolves with charcoal, lava stones, spices and green olives.

Closed on the nose, transparant in color. Steely tannins but in general a magnificent wine. I think it just needs extra time in the bottle

Earthy, savoury wine. Needs food, due to pronounced acidity. Rustic tannin structure.
