This is acid driven zin. Reminiscent of a big Morgon. Earthy, savory finish along with crisp, bright red fruit. Transparent in a way zin rarely is. Souvenir from my visit to Berkeley.

Slightly more restrained Zinfandel than many CA styles - only 13.5%. Less refined than the Mathiasson zin, and that is more precise and delicious. But this is characteristically peppery and has good fruit. Maybe slightly muddy on the finish.
