One of the better #newworld #syrahs I've had in a while. Probably because it reminded me of #coterotie Deep purple. The nose was dense and powerful with blue and black fruit, pepper, meat, and flowers. The palate was spicy and delicious with great complexity. The tannins were a touch gritty but there was nice acidity giving the wine lift. Great length. #arnotroberts #sonomacoast #california #ctbucklinwine

Dark ruby. The dark fruit aroma leaps out of the carafe. Blackberry dark cherry cassis peppery palate. Complex with well balanced acidity and a long finish. Loved this wine

Like Cru Beaujolais in genes of American Syrah. Whole cluster, lean, mineral loaded. There's an intensity of acid and raw crunch. And also intensity of flavor. And then varietal queues - which I love, because damnit I love Syrah.

Mint and rosemary, lavender, blueberry, dry aged beef. In a leaner body than you've seen before, but with all the intensity and depth of flavor you'd expect from Arnot Roberts.

Excellent and thought provoking - I'd give it a bump if it had just a little velvet - a dialed down crunch - the way Californian cool climate Syrah can do. It's not a quality thing, just a preference thing.

Like an old school cote rotie. Inky purple. Lots of smoke, spice, and dark berries. Tannins are bit rough right now.

Absolutely fabulous. Without a doubt, the best wine I have had from AR, and I’ve had a few. The tannins have settled and the wine was so complex and mellifluous. Paired perfectly with a prime NY Strip.

2 hour decant. Aromatics are stellar on this bad boy. Paired great with lamb shank.
