We really love the first tier bottle from Boulay, a wonderful value for $25. Nose has intense chalky limestone with grassy citrus zest. The palate is like spring wheat grass, yet it has the drying aspect of chalkboard dust (right on), and a medium level acid. It has tamed somewhat since our last experience, in a good way.

Yum Sancerre!
Grassy nose, nice mineral, elementary school chalk dust components. Palate had great, balanced acidity, light citrus and chalk/limestone. Really improving in the glass as the wine warms and gets some fresh air.
Chilling out on the patio on a wonderful 70° Berkshires afternoon, perfect mid-summer day.

White grapefruit, sour gooseberry, minerlaity, pyrazine notes of herbs and cut grass. Searing acid, so refreshing.

Slightly tart, no fizz. A solid Sancerrre, middle of the road flavor and texture

Excellent fruit to stand up to the acidity and minerality, one of the best I've tasted

Plenty of peach, white flower and wet stone. Great acidity. This is how SB should be done, IMO.
