A great Paullic from a great vintage. Very tasty and bold. Showing currants, licorice, oak, vanilla, cedar, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn and leather.

Shows great complexity with hugh tannins, after 2.5 hours of airtime, so be patient.

Still young and needs another 10 years in the bottle to mature properly, but already enjoyable.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$125.

Delicious right now. Very savory with herbs, leather and tobacco. Surprisingly mineral. Sustains well.

Dust and walnut husk with shaved chocolate and mint. Blueberry and chocolate with sweet black olive and dried flowers. Finish shows it’s youth and firm but accessible tannins.

Extremely young, balanced, a little simple at the moment.

A 5th growth from the wonderful 2010 vintage! 3 hour decant(some chunky sediment). A distinguished dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: sweet black fruit, floral, cedar, slight funky earth, eucalyptus, pencil lead. Taste: Wow! Coming along nicely.....a velvety full body wine with blackberry, cassis, chocolate espresso, cedar, and a floral leather dry long finish. Even with 3 hour decant, some tannins still kicking me!!!.....I would give it another 5 years (it will get a better score) and then drink over 15 years.

Blackberries, currants, and musty truffles with spices made this a complex and fine wine. Definitely a winning year.

One of my favourite Pauillacs & what we call “the dancing men” 🕺🕺 @ £60 Paid now £80+ in a top vintage w/ an intriguing blend 😁 Drinking good but will definitely improve 😉

📍 Baron Phillippe De Rothschild Chateau Clerc Milon 2010 Pauillac

🏵 93+ points w/ much more potential for 95-96 I’d say 😊

🍇 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot & 1% Carmenere

🍷Opaque deep dark ruby

👃 Soft char smoked oak, blackcurrant, damson, cracked pencil, gravel & rock minerals w/ cherry, liquorice, mocha, lavender, blueberry & soggy earth

👄 Med+ smooth body of rich dark creamy blackcurrant, mocha & liquorice w/ soft slight dry minerals & blueberry undertones

🎯 Med+ touch mineral dry earthy red liquorice blackcurrant, black cherry, blueberry & mocha mouth filler
