At 45 still a bit tannic. Flavours of cassis, mint, cedar, cigar box, and tertiary tea notes.

From jeroboam. Deep intense fruit still. Slightly tangy with Whiff of band aid. Some sour cherry, an undertow off leather. Very fresh still!

It's a Latour so it's not going to suck but it was definitely past it's prime. Not terribly complex and the fruit was muted but it's always enjoyable when you get to taste history.

Deep tawny/amber color and almost opaque but still looks young in the glass. Wonderful nose with notes of black cherry, pencil shavings, crushed walnuts, kirsch, cigar box, and baked apples. Nicely structured in the mouth. The fruit was slightly faded at first but with 6 hours of air the fruit came on to deliver a velvet mouth feel with a palate coating finish. In a great drinking window right now.
