Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Gorgeous. Burnt honey, dried apricot, smoked balsa wood, warm gravel. Full and rich, but actually not that sweet in the mouth. Great balance and a touch of bitter on the finish. So pleasurable.

High proof. Not much acidity Hay. Very little Botrytis.

A detuned version of the 89 Rieussec had previous to this without the complexity. Full bodied and sweet with some acidity.

My first Sauternes (!) - loads of honey and treacle. Very nice.

Sauternes rocks.

Golden hue. Aromas of apple, dried fig, golden raisin, honey, orange zest, peach. Full body and high acid. Mouth-coating and creamy texture on palate, with a slight mineral finish that begs for refills. Rich, decadent and delicious. 90% Semillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc, 2% Muscadelle.
