Glorious. Touch of floral boys, with smoke, hedonistic bacon fat, black pepper, but with great acidity. With a tart, developing red fruit content I want expecting. The notes don't do it justice. The length and complexity on the finish is hard to describe. One of the best Australian wines I've had.

The Viognier is seductive, feminine. Beguiling on the nose with a hint of eucalyptus. Big. Palate starts floral with layers of primary black fruit and secondary notes of tar and chocolate. It was my wine, and the Viognier virtually unblinded me, but it was my #1, group's #3/4 tie. Spectacular, no need to wait with 90 min decant. Big Oz Red Smackdown.
