Super youthful '84 Heitz Martha's.. Fabulous

My red WOTN by a nose over the '77 Heitz MV. Came out tannic but clearly aged with slight bricking in the glass. Most of the same notes as the '77 but more fruit, deeper, a little mocha. This has another 10 years but is peaking right now. Thank you @Steve Anderson

Outstanding Napa Cabernet from an icon Winery. Medium body with gobs of fruit and resolved tannins. Lovely aroma and Cabernet flavors. Still has much life. Super tasty..🍷🍷🍷

Nose was funky and musty out of the gate - 15 min later it emerged to be beautiful. Rich, showing some age, well structured, great oak and vanilla notes. Definitely at a high.

Magnum 1984 Heitz Cellar Martha's Vineyard Cab. We decanted this at the start of dinner at Union and drank after the '97 Ornellaia and before the '94 Harlan. This had much less fruit than the Ornellaia- dusty, earthy notes with mineral, eucalyptus, and spice as well. Enjoyed this wine immensely, but it was hard for this to shine as it was sandwiched between the Ornellaia and the Harlan. This wine was great with pasta, but it would have been equally enjoyable to drink without food.

Hints of an orange rim, dirty tar, licorice and vanilla nose. A little musty note on this 32 year old vintage, but worthy of another glass. A Bordeaux drinker's sipper. Lots of weight and depth.
