Grand Cru Classé en 1855 Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Dark purple color of this Second Growth Bordeaux. A complex nose of red and black fruits and sweet earthy spice. Palate displays full ripe fruits, blackberry and raspberry, some smoky pepper oak with soft tannin structure aging well. The long finish showed some mineral notes on the end. Drinking well now but still has aging potential. Tasting Sample.

Wonderful left bank. 2010, decanted for 2 hours. Medium bodied.. Blackberries, plum, liquorice, black pepper and cedar. Very balanced, well integrated tannins

Right out the chute as a pop & pour this wine is dominating. On the nose matured dark fruits such as plums & blackberries with a mild ripe cherry tartness, tobacco, potpourri, along with eucalyptus & forest floor overlays. On the palate incredibly delicate and expressive lavender, plums, Christmas spices, and blackberries.

Totally roasted... forgot it in the car for a day in desert... should be a fantastic 95+ bottle... pity

Great nose, super complex. Fine sweet and tannins.

Closed now, but it's young so no surprise there. Definitely a good ager. Well balanced and elegant.

Full bodied with heavy fruit flavors. Solid, strong finish. Will only get better with age.
