Tasted blind and served next to something that looks identical... light tawny and translucent. But this is very different in the nose. Cherries, rose petals, very perfumed. Very complex. In the mouth it's rich with a long finish. Great acidity, perfectly in balance with the fruit. I guessed 90 Rousseau Clos de Beze before both Beze bottles are revealed. Bingo. This bottle was awesome tonight, and shows why Rousseau commands such a premium price.

Such sweet fruit but with that little hint of the crunchy herbs at the back. Still very present and the meat hasn't quite started to show yet. Delicious wine. Greg Gregory would be proud.
