Very deep in potting soil and garrigue ... leather and wet tobacco notes ... red plum and desiccated cherry ... earl grey tea ... needs some time to open.

Our delayed, fancier, 2019 Valentine's Day dinner.

Such infanticide! Note to future self, do not open any '10's until at least 2025+

Pretty deelish-barnyardy with terrific tart fruit, racy medium bodied wine, good intensity with a lingering finish

'11 is showing much better than the '10 right now. The '10 has the structure and fruit to go for the long haul though. #bouchard #beaune #greves #premiercru #burgundy #ronburgundy #littlebabyjesus #talladeganights #rickybobby #willferrell #pinotnoir #ctbucklinwine

Served Christmas Eve. Double decant after 30 min of air. Faint cherry & vanilla bean on nose & palate. Woodsy/earthy.

The first thing that surprises me is elevated acidity and excessive tearing. Medium plus alcohol. This doesn’t feel like aged grand cru. There is sous bois but not mushroom-y enough. I think this juice needs more aging. The wine is almost perfect.

2010 Beautiful mint quality, violets, dark fruit, and still a bit tight! Should be good for 20 years.
