Mastroberardino
Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso Piedirosso
Interesting style- light ruby, white pepper, saline, lithe with cranberries. A modern wine but nice with food.

Sep 3rd, 2017A ton of CO2 in this. Triple decanted, swirled in the glass and allowed to sit for an hour. A savory wine. Red fruits, earth. A tad simple.

Mar 8th, 2022Love this stuff tho it varies from vintage to vintage. With some age, this strutted plenty of tertiary notes of minerals, licorice, smoke, Earth, leather & black pepper. Red & black fruit profile was ripe & tangy. Smooth w/decent finish. Just barely pulling itself above the rustic category.

Apr 14th, 2019Nice full red, a bit more tannic than I might want to drink regularly. Much lighter than the de Ungelis in the glass. A bit young to drink I think.

Sep 17th, 2018Pretty rough - had this before but this was all dried out w/sharply edges, not sure if this was an off- vintage or some other defect: was not volatile or bretty, just closed nose and harsh finish
