A beautiful wine that shouldn’t even be looked at for another five years. Still tightly wound after several hours in a decanter. Floral nose developing, very refreshing fruit. Needs (a lot) more time.

Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically.

I did not took notes but this was from a Magnum and was soo good. Really excellent wine. Yummy we have another Magnum waiting for a good day :)
