Hazy cranberry, cherry, and strawberry fruit with persistent length. A serious wine with tenacity. Ages a year in French oak (6% new).

Supple and broad on entry and then more taut in the midpalate, offering bitter cherry, dark berry and candied licorice flavors and a hint of espresso. Big for Prosser, but that's what 2012 gave everyone. A crowd pleaser, but still typical JK Carriere with a touch of funk, good acid and soft tannins.

Found this one in the cellar, still a solid wine. I don't remember what it was like closer to release but it's lovely now. Plenty of balance and herbal and cherry notes on the nose
