This wine continued to evolve in the glass, so be sure to savor it. Tannins were pretty smooth, but present. Complex layers of leather, plum, black cherry, white pepper, a touch of black licorice, and nutmeg. Maybe even some ginger? Paired fantastically with roasted duck breast!

2003. This is alive with garrique. Decanted for an hour to blow some alcohol off but only partially successful. Beginning to wonder if these should be drunk young when you can still swoon over fruit and don't notice the figure
