Sourced from the Saint Joseph and Grand Crus subzones of the appellation, which give fine, stony wines, from 80-year old vines. A high-lying sandy parcel gives more complexity, structure, and acidity to the wine. Medium Ruby with red fruit and floral spice aromas. On the palate flavors of red raspberry, cherry, banana and earthy mint. Vivid acidity, fine tannins, medium+ finish, ending with fruit and spice. Very good, bottle age will benefit!

Popped and poured; no formal notes. Despite being 20 years old and a 2003, it is very much alive and far from overblown, let alone tired. While certainly mature, the fruit was a very pleasant mix of ripe and dried dark fruits with some mushroom in forest floor. It is a touch mousy, but it’s hard to expect anything less considering the production methods. Drink now and over the next 5 to 10 years.

Ripe but with a strong pulse of acidity. Seems to be closed down at the moment showing mostly cranberry but it’s all there on the palate. Has that wildness and ethereality that’s so special when Breton is on.

Smells like a glass of cranberry juice was left in a horse stable for a few days. Somehow still alive and kicking. Not pinoted, but juicey.

Actually not bad especially on day two. Like underripe tart cherry juice.

Can I collect all gang of four in 2018 Morgon threads? This one is perfumed and reminiscent of cherry licorice sticks, Asian plum, cola, and rose water. Very finesse driven and elegant.

Delicious and elegant. Nose has wafty, gorgeous candied cherry fruit, granitic minerality, and a background note of barnyard funk to remind you this is not industrial Bojo. In the mouth it’s intensely flavorful but has a light feel and a silky texture. Beautifully pure fruit. Very nice, crisp acids.
