Nice aromatics with dried cherry, an uplifting note of licorice & fading flowers and some earthy, undergrowth with a touch of cinnamon in the background. On the palate this show bright, juicy acidity, medium tannins with a beautiful, fine, dusty grain and pure, bright cherries. Impeccably balanced and with good length. This is peaking right now and is in a beautiful spot.

Rainoldi Inferno Riserva 2009. Purchased at a local store on close out originally $34.99. I paid $12.99 and it is worth the higher price. Light to medium garnet with a nose of light cherry, a whiff of anise and menthol commingled with spring earth aromas. Nice balance on the palate wonderful with buffalo mozzarella pizza at home. I like this wine and I am more and more in love with Italy. 90pts. Very quaffable.

Earthy, subtle oak, a little spice and slight mineral texture. Had the 2007 vintage. A good wine (not great) that balanced well with heavy pasta.
