Wow was uttered as the glass was lifted to my nose. Amazing dark color and concentration, aromas of lead pencil, dark fruits, wood, and a whiff off mushroom. On the palate a lot of fruit, but very tannic. A friend said this said to be a 100yr wine. I believe it. 92 now lots of upside potential. Visit again in 10yrs — 9 years ago
This is a wonderful Sangiovese. I was trolling around the Borolo and Brunello list when Bobby Stuckey suggested this wine. Intense liquified black cherry, earth, and wood. On the palate a big wine with black cherry, kirsch, cedar and spice. A very nice Super Tuscan that's quite different when compared to Tignanello, Ornelaia, or Sassicaia. 93pts. Needs a little more tone to integrate. Try in 5 years. — 9 years ago
A nice burgundy from a recommended producer. A little tight but opened with 1 hr of air. Red cherry earth and a bit of spice. Tannins are still a bit heavy, but it is a baby. 88pts — 9 years ago
Beautiful wine! A nose of red fruits, earth, cigar box, truffles. On the palate all that was promised was delivered, with good concentration, and amazing balance. At its prime, and a testament to the vintage, winemaker, and vineyard. Wine of the night. This made me rethink my old stance that I prefer La Mission. 97pts. — 9 years ago
High shoulder fill on this 375ml bottle. Nice garnet color with lightening at the rim. Nose of light cherry, earth/forest floor, mushroom and tobacco. There was a bit of mustiness but this wine was not corked. In the palate very balanced with a bit of a sour cherry finish. The must was noticeable in the palate. Past its prime (at least this bottle) but still enjoyable and alive. 85pts — 9 years ago
This was a wow wine when it was 10-12 years old. I liked it over the Haut Brion of the same year back then. Fast forward 15 years and it did not hold up in our line up. Nice Graves nose and flavor profile. But it seemed awkward and muted compared to my previous memories. Perhaps a dumb phase. I was a very good wine just not the amazing 90 La Mission I remember. 91pts. It may have been the company. 82 Haut Brion and 86 Mouton. — 9 years ago
2012. A baby but very balanced with generous fruit, great mouth feel, and just enough mineral, vanilla, and wood to add complexity I love this and it will only get better 93pts — 9 years ago
Big but balanced for a young vintage port. Inky purple in the glass. On the palate Grapey, chocolate, and woody flavor profile. Likely will be more complex in time but this is delicious now. From half bottle. 94pts. — 9 years ago
Beautiful Yquem. Very balanced tropical fruits, wood, and boytritis. Not cloying at all. Quite pretty with a delicious spice cake. My favorite Yquem (excepting the 1983, although I have only tried 3-4 vintages. Not as intense as the 83. But a fine Sauterne. 95 Pts. — 9 years ago

I wanted to try another 2010 but alas the bottle I picked was out of stock. This caught my eye. A very pretty Brunello nice bright red color. Cherry leather tar earth and wood were pretty well integrated I drank half with dinner and finished it over the next 2 days. It was best 1 day after opening. Integrated well. I am glad they were out of my first choice. A fine bottle of red. 92pts — 9 years ago
