Located east of St. Helena, Napa where Conn Creek flows out of Howell Mountain. 26 acres of vineyards are in the heart of this 40-acre grape-growing paradise. Mostly Cab Sauv with a touch of Petit Verdot. A big wine with complex fruit and spice aromas. Juicy black berry fruits, with underlying smooth sweetness combined with smoke, spice and oak. Well structured, fine tannins, ending with earthy pepper, leather and mineral character.

From a cellar collection. A bit of seepage on the cork but the wine is perfect. Opaque ruby color, very Primary, rich and intense on the plate with dark currants, incredible acidity. This could go another 20 years.

Well structured, tannins still tight, gave in after 90 minutes, ending with earthy pepper character. Enjoyable now but let it sit in cellar.

Dense black cherry/black raspberry jam, dark chocolate, tobacco, and chewy tannins. Very expressive and explosive in structure and intensity. Will be long lived. Needs lots of time to unfurl its bounty of pent up flavor

Aug 27th, 20171995 vintage. Completely over the hill (but of course always hard to judge one bottle). Notice the low alcohol content though.
