Affinity Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Lots of sediment. Should have decanted. Good bones. Needs 5-7 years more in bottle.

Found a bottle, aging nicely. A blend of 76% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc, 7% Merlot, 5% Malbec & 4% Petit Verdot, 18 months in 60% new French oak, deep Ruby, purple edges, with aromas of berry fruit, sweet herb and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, ripe blackberry and currants with notes of cacao and sweet herbs. Long finish, grippy ripe tannins ending with graphite and earthy mineral. Drink now & over next few years, I still have a few bottles in cellar!

Then times when I pull an old bottle from the cellar and it shows well is always a joy. Yhis doubly so, throigh sharing w a friend who loves Cabernet.
Deep brick. Nose is fully mature with the aromas of berries buckling under the weight of time. Tannins are still here, though silky and fine. I'm not sure folks still make wines like this in Napa.

78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petite Verdot, 10% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 1% Cab Franc. Outstanding blend that is very well balanced and continued to evolve over several hours. Great now and definitely worthy of laying down for 7-10 years.

Opened up quickly, good value

Robert Craig always solid. Well rounded cab. And amazingly, we just saw a green flash sunset. Great pairing.
