Another holiday pickup, just walking through a nice village in piedmont. Liked the label and knew of the winemaker. After 17 years the wine is still ruby red, vibrant in the nose with cherries, light flowery, leather, tar. Still enough tanine to last a few more years. A bit sweetish, with licquorish. Impressive wine.

Superb. Black fruit, black cherry. Mineral. Smoke and some tar. Real strength and complexity while still wrapped into a very accessible package.
