Typical Raquillet Pinot nose of animale, wood smoke, meat juices and new barrel. Intense lift, refinement and raspberry coulis-like fruit from this special vintage. Plenty of heft and grip, though. Really perfect Mercurey.

Gorgeous fruit. Big, brambly and expressive. Loads of dirt and also high toned mid season cherry. Gorgeous. What one wants at this level. Palate is elegant and very pretty with juicy, brambly, wild fruit and then finished distinctly mineral. Lovely wine.
